Dr. Matt Kaeberlein is the Chief Executive Officer at Optispan, Inc., an Affiliate Professor at the University of Washington, and founding Director of the University of Washington Healthy Aging and Longevity Research Institute. A distinguished leader in his field, Dr. Kaeberlein is a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, the American Aging Association, and the Gerontological Society of America. He has published over 250 scientific papers on longevity. In addition to receiving the 2020 Robert W. Kleemeier Award from the Gerontological Society of America,

Dr. Kaeberlein has been honoured with numerous awards from leading organisations, including the Ellison Medical Foundation, Alzheimer’s Association, American Federation for Aging Research, Glenn Foundation, Murdock Trust, and the United States National Institutes of Health and National Institute on Aging. He has served as Director of the Nathan Shock Centre of Excellence in the Basic Biology of Aging, President and Chair of the American Aging Association, Chair of the Gerontological Society of America Biological Sciences Section, and on the Board of Directors for the Federation of American Societies for Experimental Biology and the Alliance for Longevity Initiatives.
