Lunardini, M.

Improving Adult Bereavement Care, Support & Services
1 March 2023

Many people struggled to access critical services and support during the pandemic, and this continues to be a challenge today (Breen, 2021). The pandemic raised concerns around the accessibility, effectiveness, and feasibility of traditional bereavement supports. It became evident that new and innovative modalities such as mHealth practises would need to emerge in order to meet the ongoing growing need for support. This presentation will discuss acute bereavement risk factors, ways to support bereaved people in the immediate aftermath of a death, how to leverage social support and mHealth practises in this post-pandemic world.
